Upcoming client events – and you’re invited!

Here at PPR Strategies, we help our clients create, promote, plan, and execute live events and conferences. Today, we’re highlighting some of the big Economic Development events our clients have coming up in the next few weeks.

MEDA’s Economic Development Week, October 21 – 27, 2018

I’ve had the privilege of working with the Maryland Economic Development Association for the past 14 years. And starting the week of October 21, we’re celebrating the 8th annual Economic Development week in Maryland.

What’s so great about this week is that it’s a time when Economic Developers and community members highlight projects, programs, and all the amazing ways Economic Development is making a difference in the state of Maryland.

There are several activities that MEDA is planning this week, and community members throughout the state are also planning their own activities.

You can find out how to participate in MEDA’s Economic Development Week here.

Main Street Cumberland Tour, October 21, 2018

MEDA’s kicking off Economic Development week with a tour of Main Street Cumberland, in partnership with Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development.

This is the 20th year of the Main Street Maryland program. And in fact, Cumberland was one of the first communities in Maryland to have that Main Street designation.

MEDA Fall Conference, October 22, 2018

I’m thrilled to be a moderator at one of the panel discussions for the MEDA Fall Conference. We’ll be discussing the site selection process and I’ll be moderating a discussion about the data tools and resources that are available and how to best use them in your organization.

Charles County Fall Meeting, October 30, 2018

This is our third year helping Charles County with their Fall Meeting. This year’s theme is workforce development. This is a much-needed hot topic in the Economic Development world — because businesses are nothing without highly qualified employees. They’ll be discussing how to connect businesses with the resources that exist and the partnerships they can create so they can recruit and maintain a strong workforce.

I encourage you to check out these events. They provide opportunities to network, learn, and take part in important conversations — which not only benefits your organization, but all the people in the community who benefit from the services Economic Development provides.

And if your organization could use support with planning, promoting, or executing upcoming live events, leave us a comment below to set up a conversation with us.

Hope to see you there!

‘Til next time,
Sandy
