What’s Travel & Tourism’s secret weapon right now?
There’s never been a more important time to come together with state and regional partners as well as local businesses for campaigns. By collaborating together, you can pool your resources and expand your reach, versus trying to go at it alone.
Here are a few examples of how you can do this:
- Use your collective buying powers to invest in larger media buys together.
- Create campaigns together, and perhaps create itineraries together.
- Mention partners in your newsletters and ask them to mention you in theirs.
- Share one another’s posts on social media.
Right now, we have the unique challenge of planning for the unknown. This also goes for people who are planning summer vacations with their families!
While Travel and Tourism has typically been focused on bringing in visitors from outside, the current opportunities are to bring in local, state, and regional visitors. For people seeking summer vacations, many will feel most comfortable planning for experiences close to home.
So how can you capitalize on the creative possibilities in your city, town, or region and work together with other communities, small businesses, or organizations to reach a bigger audience? Start by brainstorming together, and see what ideas you can come up with collectively.
