Announcing the Host of Season 2 of the Frederick Factor!

We’re so excited that Season 2 of the Frederick Factor podcast is debuting this Thursday… with a brand new host!

The Frederick Factor podcast is the passion project we created to tell stories of underrepresented business owners, entrepreneurs, and professionals in the community of Frederick. In each episode, guests share their “Frederick Factor” – the quality of the Frederick community that makes it feel so special.

In Season 1, we had guests such as Elizabeth Chung of the Asian American Center of Frederick, Jose Bueso of Dynamic Automotive, Jackie Douge of What Is Black?, Eric Jorgensen of Special Needs Navigator, and many more incredible leaders in Frederick. (Check out past episodes here!)

We were inspired to bring a fresh spin and energy to each season of the Frederick Factor by asking a previous guest to take the reins in the host seat. For Season 2, we were thrilled when Ashleigh Kiggans, Vice President of MacRo Commercial Real Estate, said YES to being the Season 2 host! You can listen to her interview in Season 1 here: The Mentorship Factor with Ashleigh Kiggans.

We knew Ashleigh would make an amazing host because of her natural vibrance, leadership, and equal interest in telling people’s stories. As a woman in a heavily male-dominated industry, and a mom in the community, she brings a unique perspective. She’s one of a few active, full-time women commercial real estate (CRE) agents in Frederick County, as well as one of the only full-time Black women CRE agents in Frederick County. She was named a “Top 50 Under 40” young professional in Frederick County and won the “Emerging Dealmaker” award from the Frederick County Office of Economic Development.

As a passionate resident of Frederick, she’s served on several boards and committees in Maryland and is dedicated to building a better community. We got to know Ashleigh even better when she became a mentor in the EmPOWER Program we developed with the Frederick County Office of Economic Development.

Along with all of her accomplishments, she’s also become a close friend. We’re excited for the first episode of Season 2 to launch this Thursday!
