I-68 Regional Alliance – Maryland, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia

| | | | |

The I-68 Regional Alliance is an economic development partnership of business and economic development organizations in five counties (Mineral, Allegany, Garrett, Bedford, and Somerset) spanning three states (West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania). Weaving through the Appalachian Mountains, it’s a region abundant in natural beauty, recreation, educational and business amenities. Low-cost land and leases, a high-quality labor force and lifestyle are advantages, but attracting industry to the rural region is an ongoing challenge.

Knowing PPR Strategies’s reputation for business attraction, the I-68 Regional Alliance asked us to create key messages for their target markets: aerospace, lifestyle manufacturing, and technology. As a first step, we developed a website for the Alliance, with fresh copy and a call to action for each industry. As a second step, we crafted an outreach campaign to existing businesses in their target industries. While one objective was business attraction, the other objective was connecting with businesses existing in the region. This campaign included a multi-part blog series and video testimonials praising the assets along the corridor. High on value and low on cost, this campaign launched across multiple platforms, with likes, shares, and views attesting to its resonance.

Every community, county, and region has specific needs. At PPR Strategies, we fulfill them, with creativity and flexibility guiding every tactic.
