Fall Updates from PPR Strategies

Fall is officially here!

Here at PPR Strategies, we’re enjoying pumpkin spice everything and new seasonal flavors of popcorn from the Original Popcorn Shop. We’ve stayed busy all September supporting our clients with the many conferences and events taking place this fall. And, we’ve got some fun updates from the office too…

As a team, we recently celebrated Rosh Hashana. Rosh Hashanah celebrates the Jewish New Year, and it’s traditional to do New Year’s Resolutions at this time. We made a New Year’s Resolution to learn about other cultures through celebrating other holidays over the course of this next year. In November, we’ll be celebrating Día de los Muertos, the Day of the Dead.

Here we are with apples and honey, a traditional food custom for Rosh Hashanah.
We’re eating sweet food with the hopes of a sweet year ahead!

Ellen, our Communications Specialist, recently started her year in Leadership Frederick County!

Ellen joined 39 other classmates for the Opening Retreat weekend at Thorpewood mountain retreat. With both indoor and outdoor leadership development activities, Ellen pushed her comfort zone and expanded into her leadership abilities. We’re also excited to be welcoming a new full-time staff member to the team this fall, Meghan McQuade Boyle! Meg will be our in-house copywriter. If you’ve been a client of ours, you’ve likely already experienced some of Meg’s brilliant wordsmithing. Meg has been working with us part-time for many years, and we’re excited for her to join the full-time staff.

Meg has worked in broadcast journalism as well as the nonprofit world, where she honed her talents in public relations, marketing, and fundraising communications. Her fresh voice and concise writing style attracted a diverse clientele in the nonprofit and private sectors, secondary and higher education. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English with honors from the College of the Holy Cross.

And, we have some VERY exciting news…

Behind the scenes for the past few months, we’ve been at work creating a podcast! Using our in-house podcast studio, Sandy has been busy interviewing a variety of amazing Frederick business owners, professionals, and community leaders over the past couple of months.

There’s so much more to this story, and we’ll be sharing it with you in an upcoming newsletter. Watch your inbox for our intro episode announcement coming very soon. 🙂

In the meantime, we’d love to hear your updates! Leave a comment below to share what you’re up to this fall.

‘Til next time,
Sandy and the PPR Strategies Team
