“Almost Spring” Updates from PPR Strategies—Places Reimagined

We’re just a couple of weeks away from spring officially starting. How’s your year going so far? It’s been a busy and exciting 2023 for us. Here are some of PPR Strategies’s “Almost Spring” updates…

Our Team is Growing! – We’ve been strengthening our internal capacity and growing our team. We recently brought in a new Communications Specialist, Lindsay, as well as two new Marketing Interns – Jacki and Jillian. (You can learn more about all of them in a guest blog from Lindsay here.)

We’re excited to continue to strengthen our internal capacity with our new Public Relations Specialist, Mia Vaccaro. Mia is excited to join the PPR Strategies—Places Reimagined Team and to help tell the stories of our clients. She values relationship building and collaboration to develop meaningful and successful PR strategies. Since graduating from Georgian Court University, Mia has worked on various projects with many startups and small businesses around the country. She understands the importance of paying attention to detail, can see around corners, and loves helping others make their dreams into a reality.

Here are a few fun facts about Mia…

Favorite part of her job: Shining a spotlight on the “little guys” and being able to help them tell their stories in a creative way!

Professional superpowers: Coming up with creative, yet controlled, strategies for storytelling.

Personal superpowers: Creating her own recipes and managing three dogs during a walk on her own!

A few of her favorite things: Her three rescue dogs; shopping; family; friends; cooking; coffee; making cocktails; country music; beach days; road trips; and traveling to new places!

Here’s more news from us…

Episode 1 of the Frederick Factor is Live! – Season 2 of the Frederick Factor is officially LIVE! In Episode 1, Ashleigh Kiggans (our Season 2 host) interviews co-founder and the Executive Director of SOUL Street, Shana Knight.

In this episode, Shana shares the story behind creating SOUL Street, and how racial injustices spurred a group of inspired people in Frederick to take action and make a lasting impact. Throughout the episode, Shana shares ways that she’s supporting the promotion of underrepresented business owners in Frederick County. Tune in to Episode 1 with Shana Knight here.

We’ve Upgraded our Email Marketing System and Can Help You Do the Same. – One of our biggest projects of the year has been moving our email marketing system over to SharpSpring from Constant Contact. This larger platform has greater capacities for email marketing automation and contact management. We’re excited to be upgrading our own system and to have this new resource we can offer to our clients. If you’d like more help utilizing technology to stay connected, set up a free call with us here to learn how we can help you with email marketing and automation.

A Few Personal Updates – On a personal note, I’m mentally preparing for my daughter Tabitha to be graduating from college this spring. Knowing she’s already got the job of her choice makes me feel like a proud mama!

I’m also looking forward to a month full of speaking events! I’ll be speaking about Communicating Across Generations for the Ocean City Hotel Motel Restaurant Association, as well as for the Virginia Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives. Later in the month, I’ll speak at a women’s business conference in West Virginia. It’s great to be able to travel to conferences, build new relationships, and support professionals and organizations.

As always, we appreciate the opportunity to connect with you in your inbox. If there’s any way we can support you with your spring, summer or fall goals this year, set up a free 15-minute consultation with us here.
