Recently, we announced that the new Platinum PR website is now live! Woohoo! We’ve worked on many websites for our clients, and it was great to spend this time investing in our own website redesign.
Here are three takeaways from our website makeover:
Content creation is a collaborative process with the design team.
Website content and website design is truly a collaboration. Generally, content takes the lead to give the designer the direction they need, but making it a collaborative process will ultimately get you the best results. We lean in on content and SEO to tell the story through words, and we have designers who specialize in the visual and functional side of the website. A blending of the two is needed so that the full website is on brand and in sync with the overall experience you want to create for visitors.
Incorporate different elements into your communications.
Your website can include lots of different modes of sharing content. We’re excited to be sharing the written word, images, and videos (coming soon!). And, after recently finishing Season 1 of the Frederick Factor podcast, we’re envisioning additional audio content in the future.
Include gated content to grow your email list.
To grow your email list, it’s important to include gated content on your website. This free content can be just as valuable as something someone would pay for, and it could include PDF guides, a video series, worksheets, templates and more. The purpose is to create something your target market would find valuable enough to give you their email address to receive.
As one of our newsletter subscribers, we already love sending free resources to you on occasion. If you refer someone to our site, they can check out our Free Resources page and if they choose to opt in, they’ll also join our email list too. Then, we can stay in touch with them to share place-based marketing trends and ideas.
