The #1 Pet Peeve of Site Selection Consultants

Do you know what site selection consultants’ #1 pet peeve is?

A sh*tty website.

(Ouch… does that one hurt?!)

If they scope out your organization online and see an outdated, unappealing website, full of tech issues, with no clear way to contact you, guess what…

They’ll give up, lose interest, and move on.

On the other hand, if they’re impressed and excited by what they see online, they’ll want to know more. And they’ll be much more likely to pick up the phone to call you.

That’s why it’s key to regularly take a look at our website and online presence, and see where we can make improvements and upgrades. That’s the only way we can stay competitive in the marketplace.

I recently did this in my own business — to practice what I preach!

Here’s an example of the home page from my old website:

This one is cute and caught people’s eyes. However, I wanted to make sure my target audience felt more connected to me when they landed on my site.

So here’s the home page on my new website:

The image and tagline on my new site speaks much more clearly to my target audience. It’s clear from this page that I support organizations that work to improve their community’s economy. (And I’ve also got lots more upgrades to the site throughout!) 🙂

Now, I know that undertaking the task of updating your website can feel daunting…

Not to mention taking a look at your entire online presence — like your social media accounts, your blogging, your newsletters.

That’s why I have simplified the entire process for you in my course, Creating Your Prospect Funnel.

In this 6-module course, I take you through a step-by-step system for powerfully marketing your community to prospects.

In Creating Your Prospect Funnel, I’ll walk you through how to create a marketing plan and a content calendar, and the ins and outs of key online & offline strategies.

You’ll be learning things like:

  • The secrets to getting “inside” your target market’s heads — so that you know exactly what to say and do to get their attention
  • How to choose the right social media outlets for your organization, and grow a following on the top outlets
  • The difference between paid and “earned” media — and how to get “earned” media!

And much more 🙂

I’ve packed the course with insider resources, such as templates, cheat sheets, and worksheets, to make implementation as easy as possible for you.

And remember, when you sign up for the course by Wednesday, March 1st at 6pm EST, you get the Early Bird bonuses of:

  • $100 in savings on the price of the course!
  • A private one-on-one consulting call with me to get my help with your organization’s marketing.
